April club outing:

McLean’s Auto Wreckers
Apr 30 at 9:30 am – 12.30 pm.

The address is as follows: (see map attached)
12456–12598 4th Line
Rockwood, ON

Meet up time at McClean’s Auto Wreckers, is 9:30 am. on Sat April 30th, 2022

For those not familiar, this is just east of Guelph on the 4th Line, with ample opportunities for abstracts, rust, nature (NB: it’s early spring), maybe some birds and landscapes, though the latter two might be hit or miss.  McLean’s is a well know and well respected photo location with area photo clubs, with ample opportunities for some creative photography. Good boots are recommended. So far the weather is promising 9° C and sunny, but we may want to consider a rain-date of May 7, just in case.

Parking:  car pooling is strongly encouraged, as parking is very limited.  The Town Of Milton has placed NO PARKING signs along the Fourth Line.  We can park on the side of the driveway leading up to Mr. John McLean’s house, on the grass – weather permitting.

Suggested gear: any camera, normal, kit lens, wide angle and or short to mid zoom lenses; a tripod and flash may be useful.

We’ll each be required to sign a non-indemnity waiver (to be supplied by the club on the morning of the outing), and though they do not charge, McLean’s is very welcoming of visits from photo clubs, so a “donation” of $5 to $10 each would be appropriate. Please bring the correct amount in cash only, as there are no bank machines, and making change will be difficult.

Please indicate your commitment to this outing by email ASAP. Once we have 8 to12 people, it’ll be a go. So far we have four confirmed by email… let’s make this happen folks!

Looking forward to seeing you all at this McLean’s visit, and to getting out for another great photo-op.
