GPG Decem-brrr Photo Outing
For our December outing, things are going to be a tad different. We have a wonderful opportunity to shoot the festive lights of Christmas at Sparkles in the Park at Guelph’s Riverside Park. The event runs from December 17 to the 31st, each evening from 5:30 til 9:30pm.
There is the added bonus of a carousel which only runs from December 23 to 26, and there is the rub. December is a busy time for us all, so trying to pin down a date becomes a game of herding cats. The opportunity to catch some movement of the carousel is extremely tempting, but the dates are so close to Christmas, that organizing an outing on any of them will be difficult.

Here are three options. An organized GPG outing on:
Dec 17th — 6pm to 8:30pm. Would those who prefer this date/time please RSVP to that effect, so that we get an idea of numbers attending.
Dec 20th — 6pm to 8:30pm., for those who would like a chance of capturing the carousel in motion. Would those who prefer this date/time please RSVP to that effect, so that we get an idea of numbers attending.
or
Dec 23rd — 6pm to 8:30pm., for another opportunity at capturing the carousel in motion. Would those who prefer this date/time please RSVP to that effect, so that we get an idea of numbers attending. (This is currently my preference, weather permitting.)
There will be further details about where to meet, once we know how many to expect on which dates. It’s too early to check on what the weather will be on any of those dates.
Suggested gear: any camera, normal, kit lens, wide angle and or short to mid zoom lenses, and a flash may be useful, but not essential. Tripods would be helpful, especially for the carousel in motion shots. Bundle up!
