DESCRIPTION:Where: Spring Mill Distillery\n43 Arthur Street South\nGuelph\, ON\nN1E 7K1  \nSaturday November 16 — 9:30am to 11:30 am.  \nThis guided tour is $10 per person\, or $15 for tour & tasting (3 samples included per person)\, payable after the tour. The tour will take place before they open at noon\, so technically we’ll have till noon to shoot\, and it will be limited to our group only. (This latter point is still to be clarified). \nThey do offer at a cost\, small snacks such as beer nuts\, hummus & vegetables\, chips & salsa\, plate of pickles\, trail mix\, and charcuterie boards. They also have a retail store\, where you may purchase some of their products\, see sampling above. \nNOTE: Flash photography is NOT allowed.\nThey have not said no to tripods\, but from my experience there at Doors Open\, most of the Distillery presents very tight quarters\, so I think we should avoid tripods. Monopods should be fine. \nEquipment: A wide angle and/or a short tele-zoom lens should cover all your needs here. \nWe can do lunch after\, location to be determined. \nPlease respond if you intend to go or not\, so that we have an idea of numbers attending. \nLooking forward to seeing you there.

SUMMARY:The Southern Ontario Orchid Society’s Annual Orchid Show
DESCRIPTION:The Southern Ontario Orchid Society’s Annual Orchid Show and Sale will be held on Saturday\, February 8th from noon to 5 pm and on Sunday\, February 9th from 11 am to 4 pm at the Toronto Botanical Garden. \nAs in the past\, our Exhibition Area in the Floral Hall will be full of world-class tropical orchids and displays perfect for photographing.  Once again\, we have set aside two hours on Sunday morning for 55 photographers and their equipment. The Photographers’ Only Session will be Sunday morning\, February 9th\, from 9 am to 11 am.  This is the only time that unipods and tripods are permitted. There will be five topics\, which you will be given at the outing\, and you will be asked to interpret as creatively you can.
