DESCRIPTION:Our February afternoon Espresso Gathering returns to Starberry Café\n\n\n\nFor February our Afternoon Espresso Gathering returns to Starberry Café\, at 2pm on Wednesday the 11th. In addition to good espresso\, they have a wide range of espresso/coffee and tea based drinks along with a very nice assortment of their own deserts\, gelato and light meals. \n\n\n\nThey are located at 450 Woodlawn Road West (the south-west corner of Woodlawn Road and Imperial Road – opposite the Galaxy Cinemas). \n\n\n\nOur Espresso Gatherings are informal\, social events for members and guests to get together and chat about anything and everything while enjoying good espresso\, coffee\, tea\, and tasty treats. They are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month\, alternating afternoons/2pm and evenings/7pm. \n\n\n\nI look forward to seeing you at 2pm on the 11th. \n\n\n\nGord

DESCRIPTION:Feb 2026 Outing\n\n\n\n\n\nOur February outing\, will be led by Jim Hall\, who has an extensive knowledge of this area\, and has put together the following itinerary for our photo walk. \n\n\n\nWhen: Saturday February 21st — In the event of poor weather Saturday February 28thLocation – Historic Downtown Hamilton. King Street East & James Street NorthMeeting time: 10:30 AM – King & James – SW side (RBC building) \n\n\n\nMap is here:https://maps.app.goo.gl/RKZoMbFYRAYSA57JA \n\n\n\nUp to the 1970’s this area was Hamilton’s epicenter of banking\, commerce and retail. Many period buildings remain today\, some are architectural marvels that rival New York City\, Chicago or Toronto.NB: There will also be ample opportunity to shoot street photography ( ie. non-architectural)\, if you are so inclined. See safety note below. \n\n\n\nCamera Gear: 24-70 Zoom or similar\, also a wide angle. \n\n\n\nParking: Hamilton Municipal Lot no. 37. this is also the parking lot for the Hamilton Convention Center.Max – $ 15.00 per day.https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/getting-around/parking/municipal-car-parks \n\n\n\nLunch: Electric Diner 28 James Street N\, (Lister Building) Corner of James Street North and King William Street. Great menu and atmosphere. A popular spot for the photo community.Time for lunch to be announced. We may need reservations. \n\n\n\nLastly – Safety: Hamilton’s downtown can occasionally be colorful\, It’s best to stay with someone or the group and pay attention to your surroundings and gear. \n\n\n\nAs usual please respond by email only if you are intending to attend.
