March 2024 Outing

Greetings Guelph Photographers!
 
For this month’s outing, we are going to Paris… Ontario that is!! 

When: Saturday March 23
Where: Meet at Penman’s Dam Park at 10AM – Google Maps link here:

There are a number of interesting vantage points to check out, and a few local events going on, so hopefully there is something here for everyone;
 
We’ll start at the river/dam/bridge vantage point. There is also…
– The classic view of the downtown from the William St. Bridge
– A wide array of vintage buildings/architecture through downtown and surrounding.
– Additionally, there are a few happenings at the local fairgrounds. (NOTE: not necessarily within walking distance from downtown)
 
To tie it all up, Gord highly recommends a lunch break (and used-book-browsing, if you’re into that) at the Dog-Eared Cafe. Depending on interest, we may try to reserve a table or two.
 
PARKING – in addition to the Penman Dam meeting point, here is a map of other public parking spots around downtown Paris.

 
Please  let Andrew &/or Gord know if you will be attending, so we have an idea of overall numbers, never mind knowing who to wait for at the rendezvous point before we set forth.
