January 2025 outing and info re: Banner

To kick off the year, we will be shaking things up a bit for our first outing in 2025, with a change in the day and time (for this month) and a twist in shooting for your best images.

What: Let’s Embrace Winter

When: Sunday, January 26th — 2 pm till 5pm…
rain or shine, snow or sleet.
Less than great weather can produce images with an extra oomph! The worse the weather the better the images… he said… optmistically. 😉

Where: Guelph Arboretum, meet at the Hales-McKay Shelter parking lot. Map is here:

Gear:
Camera, wide angle, macro, medium to mid telephoto. The birders among us may want to tote something longer and heavier. Winter boots, gear, and thermals are in order.

The twist:
This month the call is out for your two best images from the afternoon’s shoot.
IMPORTANT: Only images from those who attend this month’s outing will be eligible for our website banner for February.
